Anne van Leeuwen is a pillar of the Toronto theatre community, co-founder of one of the city’s most important independent arts spaces The Assembly Theatre, an incredible actress, an insightful director, a badass Artistic Director, a Critics’ Pick Award winner, and a great interview. When Anne was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this summer, her friends and colleagues rallied around her to raise money, lift her spirits, and help in any way they could.

It’s been really inspiring watching the community come together to support someone who has given so much to theatre in this city. But a rallying cry can always use more voices so, whether you know Anne personally or have admired her work from afar or have never heard of her (which is absurd, we write about her constantly, what have you been doing?!), we want you to gather all the change from your couch cushions and make your way to the Grand Canyon Theatre on September 7th to participate in an amazing Fuck Cancer Fundraiser in support of Anne’s fight. It’s going to be a great event with lots of entertainment and booze and chances to win some really killer prize packs (including free ad space from yours truly!).

If you can’t make it, you can still enter the raffle HERE.
And if you just want to make a straight-up donation, you can do so HERE.

Please go. Please help. We need Anne.
