From time to time, we get to preview some of the latest pop-culture-adjacent products coming to market. Read on for the details on a few recent highlights and be sure to check back as this list will continue to be updated as new fun stuff crosses our desk.

Our latest fun tie-in product discovery is Pop Culture Coffee. A little on the pricey end ($34 for a 6-pack of cold brew or $24 for a bag of ground coffee), you’re paying for clever design, thoughtfully punny flavour concepts, and goofy joy with this company’s all-in range of IP caffeinated confections.

We got to try a few of their Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire products, the clear winner being the Death Chill Chocolate Mint Cold Brew which one of our staffers described as “chocolate forward, with the mint rolling in afterward. Both settle into a pleasant background of flavour, present but not overbearing. The taste is light enough on the palate to be enjoyed by one who does not have particular fondness for mint chocolate, such as myself”. He also liked Ray’s Occult Books Private Stash, calling it “a standard coffee cold brew first impression, followed by a pleasantly mellow and nutty finish, one akin to a walnut cinnamon bundt cake”. He wasn’t as fond of the Ecto-Espresso Chcolate Caramel because “neither the chocolate nor the caramel is particularly vibrant” but generally liked the mellow vibe of the various flavour combos, none of which are too overwhelming or obnoxiously sweet. I also have to say that their mugs are wildly cute but, at $61 a pop, insanely priced.
