When did you know you wanted to be a musician?

Growing up music was always playing in my household. My dad taught me guitar by the age of 12 and songwriting quickly grew into one of my favourite things to do. The years that followed consisted of gigging at local coffee shops, collaborating with local musicians and eventually winning CTV’s The Launch.

Are you trained? How did you develop your skills?

My parents put me into piano lessons at a very young age. Ironically, I did not enjoy them, however singing came very naturally to me. With my basic piano skills I started to explore writing on the piano more which is how many of my first songs started.

Who are some of your biggest musical influences?

I’ve always had an eclectic taste in music. From Fleetwood Mac to Post Malone, to emotional oranges/Smooth jazz. For me, the music I listen to has always been very mood dependent.

How would you describe your sound?

Ed Sheeran meets Ellie Goulding Meets Dua Lipa! Pure pop with an acoustic songwriter edge.

What is your favourite tune in your repertoire and why?

I’m exceptionally proud of “The Walls”. These lyrics are poetic, extremely honest and from the fan response, many resonate! This song evokes the most emotion live always In both myself and the audience.

What can audiences expect from one of your live shows?

To have FUN. I love to take the audience on a journey and make them feel all the things. Happy, present in the moment, reflective, and ultimately uplifted!

Where can we find your music?

Under my name OLIVIA LUNNY on all streaming platforms and @olivialunny on all socials!
