You don’t really have to be a gamer to know that video games have come a long way since the traditional arcade titles. In fact, as a TV viewer you have probably noticed all the graphical and editorial changes when the newest video game trailers advertise. Along with all these chances have also come new studies showing that video games can actually have a positive impact on your life. You probably remember people saying time after time that video games will rot your brain and make you lazy. Well, those theories have long been debunked and video games are now shown to provide a variety of benefits.

Surgery Skills- It is no mistake that in order to become a surgeon you are going to be required to do a lot of studying and attend many years in school. However, with all that hard work you might want to make sure that you are taking some time off to partake in video games. The latest research is showing that surgeons who play at least three hours of video games a week are able to produce fewer errors when performing certain procedures.

Improve Your Vision-  You probably also remember hearing your parents say don’t sit too close to the TV it will ruin your vision. In fact, this is still a common parental statement that is tossed around like loose change. Well, next time your parents tell you this, you can scientifically tell them that they are wrong. Scientists have proven that gaming in moderation can actually improve your vision, rather than straining it. A ten-week study involving patients playing video games proved this statement to be true. Apparently (don’t tell your mom you got this from me, though).

Make A Career Out Of It- Whether you are learning to outsmart the dealers at judi poker online or you are running an all night broadcast, there is a real opportunity for big money in the video game world. In fact, there are a number of individuals that get played by professional companies to just play and broadcast video games all day long. And, this is just one of the many opportunities to earn money with video games. You can get paid to test video games or you can enter tournaments and bring home some big steaks if you are truly good enough to outshine the competition.

Getting An Education In History- Video games these days are utilizing a lot of actual historic event in their story lines. In fact, many of the main story lines are driven by these events. You can find everything from great explorers to actual wars that took place. Partaking in the games could teach your children a great historical lesson and it might even spark an interest that eventually leads to a lucrative career in history.
