Our annual My Entertainment World Award Season began today with the My Theatre and My TV Award Nominees, and now it’s time for our 2nd annual My Cinema Awards. Then we’ll kick off our Nominee Interview Series and announce the Winners, Performers of the Year and recipients of our yearly Honorary Award.

The following is a list of the 2011 My Cinema Award nominees. Any film that hit theatres between Jan 1 and Dec 31 2011 qualifies for an award (as much as it pains us, that means that festival darlings like Albert Nobbs and Coriolanus won’t qualify until next year on account of their January wide releases). Nominees have been divided into 14 categories with Comedy, Fantasy and Musical lumped together and Drama, Action and Horror likewise linked.

Please post a comment or send us an email if you wish to share your thoughts, predictions or votes. (Nominees can email us any time at kelly@myentertainmentworld.ca to sign up to be included in our 2011 Nominee Interview Series).

Congratulations to all the nominees!
